During 2020 SESID Art Festival, young musicians playing other musical instruments also actively participated in the competition besides the piano competition. We welcomed various instruments, such as Guzheng, horn, drums, violin, etc., which provided a platform for students to show their talents. The contestants were encouraged to put traditional Chinese art into their compositions, combining fashion and classical elements.
During the competition, some players dressed in Chinese costumes played beautiful melodies that took us back to ancient times. The accordion performance ‘Peach Grove’ showed the combination of Chinese music and the new era's diversified art forms in the "National Tide" style. Powerful drums, melodious saxophone, deep horn, graceful violin, majestic cello, and delightful guitar were all on stage. During the three-day competition, the players showed their skills and beautiful melodies slowly flowed out from their fingertips. The audience and the judges were impressed by the wonderful music, and the atmosphere reached a climax again and again.
Now, let's get a glimpse of the little contestants!
After a fierce competition, players were awarded the first, second and third prizes. Some of them also won the active performance award. The musical instrument competition not only promoted students to learn from each other, but also enriched our campus culture! The children have improved tremendously in musical vision and techniques!
